How do you save your precious videos and photos on your phones?

Hi there, I'm Adriel and I'm writing from Kuching Malaysia.

Here's my attempt at trying to give you some valuable tips on how to save your precious videos and photos from your devices.

So, most of us have hard drives and/ or SSD / Flash drives.

We use them to store precious memories.

Here’s a question though.

What happens if one of them fails and our precious recorded memories go with them?

It is a costly exercise to try to save / restore the corrupted/ broken hard drives.

So I recommend the following

As of Oct 2022, Google Photos is the current best “free” solution. (This is available to Apple Devices too.)

Here are some more pro tips.

1. Back Up With Wi-Fi Only to save your phone / device data.

2. Use the ‘Storage Saver’ Setting

(because of the limited 15 GBs of space which can store a lot of good stuff still.)

3. It will take a while but you can just leave it on.

4. I would recommend avoiding the “Save Device Storage” option as a way to free up space on your device and back it up physically on a hard drive so you don’t lose visual quality. 

So why wait?

Save your memories today before they decide to disappear forever for unforeseen reasons.
